Unique metrics are metrics that count the number of people who took an action, rather than the number of actions taken.
Because Cervinodata collects and stores data per day, these unique metrics, when reported by Cervinodata over a period longer than one day, are very likely to have higher values than the values that are reported by the platforms directly. Only the values per day (for one day) of unique metrics are exactly the same if the data is compared between Cervinodata and the platform in question.
Reason
Platforms have data about people and therefore are able to deduplicate these unique metrics over any period of time. Cervinodata collects anonymous reporting data per day only and does not have data about people. That is why Cervinodata is not able to deduplicate these unique metrics over a period longer than one day.
